Csaba Baráth
After graduating from university, he started working as a development engineer at the Bányagyutacs (Chinoin from 1968) factory. During this period, in 1964-65, he led the assembly of the factory supplied by the company in Hyderabad, India. From 1966, he worked at the Videoton factory, initially as a computer development engineer, then founded and led the Software department. Between 1977-1988, he was the deputy director of the Computer Factory, and then until 1990, he was the deputy CEO of the company.
Between 1991 and 1995, he was the Chief Advisor of the Commercial and Credit Bank Rt. (K&H Bank). He participated in the financial implementation of major projects (Ml-M15 motorway, natural gas and GSM telephone network) at the Investment Directorate and then at the Project Financing Office.
Between 1996 and 1998, he was the Managing Director of the Hungarian Development Bank (MFB), and subsequently the first director of DUNA Kft, a joint venture between MFB and the Austrian FGG. 2
In 2003-2004, he was the CEO of the Small Business Development Financial Corporation (KvfP), which invests venture capital in domestic small and medium-sized enterprises, and then until 2007, when he retired, he was the Managing Director of Corvinus International Investment Corporation.
Previously, for two terms (1998-2001 and 2003-2005) he was a member of the board of the Hungarian Venture and Private Equity Association. From 2002 to 2005 he was a member of the board of directors of the Hungarian Electricity Company (MVM), and from 2005 to 2009 he was a member of the board of directors of the Paks Nuclear Power Plant (PAV).
