    He worked as a programmer and software systems engineer until 1989, then between 1990 and 1992 he was the head of the science section of a Hungarian weekly newspaper in Bucharest, "A Hét", and a contributor to the Hungarian-language program of Radio Bucharest.

    From 1993 he worked as the quality manager of IQSoft Rt., then from 2003 at IQSYS.

    Since the 2001/2002 academic year, he has been teaching the subject "Software Quality and Management" developed by him at the Department of Control Engineering and Informatics (IIT) of the Budapest University of Technology (BME), and since 2005, the subject "Software Testing". He has been an assistant professor since September 2004, and an associate professor since 2007 at the Department.

    In 2001, he received a PhD in software quality from the Technische Universiteit Eindhoven. Since then, he has continued his education, earning the following certifications: SCAMPI Lead Appraiser for CMMI-DEV (Software Engineering Institute, CMU, 2006); ISTQB Certified Tester (ISTQB, 2013); TMMi Certified Professional (2014).

    He has participated in several international research projects. Since 2003, he has also been working as a software process development consultant and auditor.

    In 2004, he founded the Hungarian Software Quality Consulting Institute (SQI), of which he is the executive director. He is a qualified ISO, Bootstrap and SPICE auditor, and a SCAMPI lead auditor accredited by the Software Engineering Institute of Carnegie Mellon University. He promotes software quality in Hungary, drawing on his experience from numerous foreign audits and consulting.

    And what else is important
    • Between 1990 and 1992, as the science columnist for the weekly newspaper "A Hét" published in Bucharest and as a contributor to the Hungarian-language program of Radio Bucharest, he played an important role in developing the Hungarian IT language in Romania.
    • His weekly program "Informatics and Society" was popular among students.
