Robert Balint
Between 1952 and 1973, he was the first Hungarian company to apply computer technology as a plant manager and then as a department manager at the Beloiannosz Telecommunications Factory (BHG). Based on the experience of his developments, in 1972, when asked to head the Program Preparatory Office of the National Technical Development Committee (OMFB), he developed a nationwide computer technology dissemination and development program for domestic companies.
Between 1973 and 1982, he was the first director of the National Computer Company (OSZV); then the cooperation director of the Information Technology Company (ITV).
Between 1982 and 1987, he participated in the founding of the first domestic computer technology small cooperatives (Datacoop, Dataplan, Omikron). Between 1985 and 1986, he was the managing director of the computer technology systems and trading house Datakord.
Between 1987 and 1991, he was the managing director of the Vienna-based American-German-Austrian joint venture ZDS-EBON Gmbh; then between 1991 and 1997, of Amex American-Hungarian Trading Ltd.
He was one of the founding members of the National Union of Hungarian Workers.
