Viktória Bakonyi

He has worked at Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE) since 1985 – first as a programming mathematician and then as a lecturer. He is a master lecturer at the Department of Media and Educational Informatics, Faculty of Natural Sciences (TTK), ELTE.

His teaching activities cover the following areas: programming methodology, programming languages, operating systems, computer systems, web and mobile programming. He also teaches several of these subjects in English.

He is committed to talent development; he participates in the task selection committee of the National Logo Study Competition. He has participated in several joint projects with Slovak researchers under the leadership of Zoltán Illés, which have also resulted in joint publications.

His research area is real-time applications, the use of smart devices in education. Joint results on this topic are continuously published.

In 2016, the NJSZT awarded him the Tarján Award, shared with Zoltán Illés and Ildiko Psenák, in recognition of their exemplary cross-border cooperation.
