    Transformations

The KSH Economic Data Processing Department (GAO) was established in 1951, headed by Lajos Pesti until 1952, and its basic task was to process the census of 31 December 1948. In 1959, it split into two: one part remained in the KSH to perform statistical tasks, while the other part was used to create the Statistical Machine Data Processing Company (SGAV). From this, KÖGAV emerged in 1959. In 1965, SGAV was transformed into a national supply company under the name SZÜV.
