Since its establishment, our company's main activity has been the trade of IT systems requiring high expertise, and the provision of related design, operation, and system integration services for businesses and public institutions.

1991. The company is established as MicroAge's Hungarian partner.

1992. The first big success, very soon – delivery of a complete system to the Hungarian Parliament under a contract with the American Library of Congress

1993. Duna Elektronika is named one of the "Best IBM Resellers".

1995. The company is transformed into its final form and its new vision is to serve the IT needs of Fortune 500 companies in Hungary.

The history of the company dates back to 1990 , when Freed Peter, an American IT specialist of Hungarian origin, took advantage of the opportunity offered by the regime change and started a business in Hungary. He was sure that the market for information technology equipment and services would soon boom, since previously the country had not been able to access modern devices due to the CoCom list. So he put together a well-structured, thorough business plan and then applied to the Hungarian-American Enterprise Fund with it. Freed Peter still proudly recalls that his business plan was the first to be accepted and supported by the fund operating under the auspices of the senior George Bush administration. The wall of his office is adorned with an American flag, as well as a document certifying that the flag had previously decorated the Capitol in Washington – a reminder of this every day. With the support of the fund, the company was soon established with a capital of 3 million dollars, and they immediately received a nice commission in 1991. The US government provided assistance to Eastern European countries to equip their parliaments with IT. Duna Elektronika was able to install the system in the Hungarian, Slovak and Albanian parliaments.

1966. The company is awarded the title of “The most dynamically developing Compaq reseller” in Hungary

Computacenter officially appoints Duna Elektroniká as its exclusive partner in Hungary.

1997. The company's growth continues - its annual turnover doubles compared to the previous year.

1999. Duna Elektronika is a Microsoft Certified Solution Provider Partner and Large Account Reseller partner. The ISO 9002 quality assurance system is introduced. Revenue increases significantly, now over 8 million dollars.

2001. The company seeks to strengthen its market share. New partnership with AS400, EMC CLARiiON and Lotus Notes.

2002. Became the number one Compaq partner and won the title of "Top Reseller" in 2001. Deloitte & Touche Technology Fast 50, Duna Elektronika was included in the prestigious list for the first time, as a result of more than 60% growth in the past year.

2004-2005. Appointed Dell distributor and DASP Service Provider.

2006. Wins the delivery of over 6,000 Dell desktops to a telecommunications provider.

2007. Wins the supply of more than 1000 printers and multifunction devices for the Telco sector. Wins the official Dell EMC Gold Service partner status. In the same year, wins the IT support of more than 1000 end users nationwide. Opens the first call center, supporting hundreds of end users.

2008. Official Lenovo Service Partner. It wins the support of more than 6,000 end users within the framework of outsourcing services. It won a contract to operate more than 500 multivendor servers nationwide. According to an IDG survey, Duna Elektronika is among the TOP 5 largest outsourcing partners in Hungary. An SME department is established to serve the IT needs of domestic small and medium-sized enterprises.

2010. Achieved new status as Dell Certified Partner Enterprise Architecture. Provides call center service and on-site support to hundreds of users.

2011. On the occasion of its 20th anniversary, the company develops a new strategy. It expands its service portfolio, providing services to SMEs in addition to large companies.

New partnership with NetApp, EMC, VMware. Microsoft Gold Virtualization Partner status and HP Gold Partner status. Gaining the support of hundreds of people 24/7 for a global car manufacturer in Hungary.
