In this column, we provide an overview of the work of computer technology and organizational companies, research institutes, offices, associations and social organizations, and educational institutions in the history of domestic IT.
In connection with the institutions shown above, we provide the so-called Legal predecessors - legal successors - changes also a list of institutions.

The tables also provide descriptions and additional interesting facts (stories, pictures, related documents) about the given organizations.
The collection is not closed, so data on additional institutions is in the process of being collected. The current ones are grouped as follows:
- Companies We have classified those that professionally produce and/or operate some IT product or provide IT services into this group.
- We classified research institutes as organizations whose main activity is conducting research and development work related to the creation or application of IT tools.
- For officesWe considered all those public administrative organizations that were the first to promote the development, research, and spread of informatics.
- A Social organizationsWe present social and civil organizations that have particularly supported the development, research, and spread of informatics.
- TheEducational institutions,and were at the forefront of computer science (later informatics) education and/or implemented significant research projects on such topics.
